MVB Week In Review

The Conestoga Condors Men’s Volleyball team (1-3) suffered two defeats last week against the Sheridan Bruins (2-1) and the Niagara Knights (2-2).

The Condors traveled to Oakville to face the Bruins. The Condors got off to a decent start but ended up losing the first set 25-21. The Sheridan Bruins took advantage and won the second set. The Condors dropped the last set 25-18 and the match 3-0.

Brendan Vandergeest scored 14 points, 10 kills, and 8 digs. Cameron McEwen scored 9 points and 6 kills. Whereas Austin Mckenna provided 22 assists.

As for the second game, The Condors hosted the Knights in the home opener game. Despite the game being extremely tight. The Knights (2-2) were able to secure the game with a final score of 1-3; the set scores were 24-26, 20-25, 25-22, and 14-25.      

Walker Kalin scored 14 points, 11 kills, and 2 digs. Aaron Morrison scored 11 points, 9 kills, and 6 digs. While Brendan Vandergeest finished with 10 points, 8 kills, and 6 digs.

The Condors will be playing home against the Fanshawe Falcons (3-2) on Wednesday, February 23, at 8 pm.
