Do you want to get started in your fitness journey but are not sure where to start? These programs are designed to instruct and motivate you to get started and feel more confident doing so! The following four programs are slower paced than fitness classes with many modifications for all levels:

- Barbell Basics
- Ladies Who Lift
- Condors Run Club

Cost: FREE, Available to all current Conestoga full-time Doon and Cambridge Fountain students!
What You Need: Water bottle and comfortable clothing.
Introduction to Weight Training
Mondays @ 3:00PM-4:00PM
Multi-Purpose Room
This program is designed to help students build a strong foundation in weight training by learning key movements such as the squat, hinge, lunge, push, and pull. Whether you're new to fitness or looking to sharpen your technique, this is the perfect opportunity to develop your skills and gain confidence in the gym!

Barbell Basics
Not running for the S26 Semester
Fitness Centre Track Area
Learn proper form and technique for a variety of different barbell and dumbbell exercises. This session will provide you with a supportive space to get comfortable using barbells, setting up the racks and learning proper form for your basic lifts. Learn the technique for the barbell squat, deadlift, bench press, and row and improve strength and overall performance.

Ladies Who Lift
Wednesdays @ 3:00PM-4:00PM
Multi-Purpose Room
Ladies Who Lift is a female-identifying only program designed to help women feel strong, confident, and unafraid of lifting weights. Strength is a powerful tool that carries beyond the gym! In this program, you’ll master fundamental exercises that build strength, skill, and empowerment.

Condors Run/Walk Club
Thursdays @ 3:00-5:00pm
Fitness Centre Track Area
This is a casual, just for fun run - there is no pressure and no pace goals. We usually go 2-5km, depending on how the group is feeling! Whether you’re brand new to running or working on your endurance, this is a good opportunity to build healthy habits!
