MVB Split First Two Games

The Conestoga Condors Men’s Volleyball team began the OCAA 2022 season with a loss and a win against the Humber Hawks (2-0) and St. Clair (0-2).

The Condors traveled to Humber College North Campus to play the season’s first game. Condors suffered their first loss of 0-3; the set scores were 23-25, 17-25, and 15-25. Austin Mckenna delivered 11 assists, 5 digs, and 1 ace. While Alex Bowden scored 8 points. 

As for the second game, The Conestoga Condors were able to secure the first win of the season in an away game against St. Clair in a tight match with a score of 3-2; the final set scores were 25-23, 21-25, 23-25, 25-22, and 15-6. Brendan Vandergeest scored 17 points and showed incredible defense with 14 digs. Alex Bowden scored 13 points, and Walker Kalin 10 points. Whereas Austin Mckenna provided 39 assists.

The Condors (1-1) will be playing travelling to the Sheridan Bruins (1-1) on Wednesday, February 16, at 8 pm.
