Condors Set To Host OCAA Women's Rugby 7s Championship
The Conestoga Condors are proud to host the 2025 OCAA Women’s Rugby 7s Championship this Saturday, October 25, at the Fountain Street Soccer Complex in Cambridge. Fans are invited to join us for a full day of high-level collegiate rugby featuring the best women’s teams in Ontario, with free admission for all spectators.
This marks an exciting milestone for Conestoga’s rapidly growing rugby program. After rejoining OCAA competition just three years ago, with the guidence of head coach Andrew Petricca, the Condors have made remarkable progress, climbing from a 1-13 record in their first season to an 11-3 finish this year, placing second overall in the province!
“Our rugby team has made incredible progress over the past three seasons, and this event is a great opportunity to showcase their growth,” said Andrew Bates, Director of Athletics and Recreation. “Hosting the OCAA Women’s Rugby 7s Championship is a proud moment for our program and our college. We’re thrilled to welcome Ontario’s top teams to our home turf and celebrate the strength of women’s collegiate sport.”
