Condors Varsity Recap - October 6th - 12th

 

 

Last week continued an exciting start to the 2025–26 varsity season for the Conestoga Condors, filled with competition, new faces, and plenty of Condor pride.


Weekly Recap – October 6th -12th

Women’s Softball 

October 7th – Doubleheader vs. Sheridan 

Game 1: Loss 10-6 

Game Recap: Regan Jacklin – 1.2 Innings Pitched with 2 hits and 0 earned runs; Lexi Volckmar 3 for 4 with 2 doubles and a triple, 2 runs scored and an RBI; Isabelle Dobson 2 for 4 with 2 RBIs 

Game 2: Won 11-1

October 10th – Double Header vs. Mohawk 

Game 1: Won 8-6 

Game Recap: Sarah Bateman – Complete Game on 10 hits, 2 earned runs and 2 Strikeouts; Kelly Tikel 2 for 4 with 1 run scored, 2 RBIs and 2 stolen bases; Abbey Schnarr 1 for 3 with a double, 2 runs scored, and 2 RBIS 

Game 2: Loss 7-1 

Game Recap: Stats not Available (Game suspended after 3 innings) 

 

Conestoga Condors QUALIFY for OCAA Softball Championships at Humber College from October 16-18. Game One is Thursday, October 16th at 5:00pm vs. Humber College at Connorvale Park.   

Women’s Soccer 

October 8th – Loss 4-0 @ Humber 

Game Recap: Skylar Morales – 5 Saves 

October 4th – Loss 5-0 vs. St. Clair 

Game Recap: Skylar Morales – 11 Saves 

 

Conestoga Condors QUALIFY for the playoffs starting with the Round of 16 on Wednesday, October 15th. Round of 16 game will be at Durham College’s Vaso Field at 6:00pm.  

 

Men’s Soccer 

October 8th – Loss 1-0 @ Humber 

Game Recap: Peja Jovicic – 2 Saves 

October 4th – W 2-0 vs. St. Clair 

Game Recap: Saab Kohar and Jackson Kruse – 1 Goal Each; Casian Cardos – Shutout 

 

Conestoga Condors QUALIFY for the playoffs starting with the Round of 16 on Wednesday, October 15th. Round of 16 game will be at Conestoga College’s Fountain Street Complex with a 7:00pm kick off versus the Lakehead Orillia Thunderwolves 

 

Women’s Volleyball 

October 3rd – Exhibition Match vs. George Brown Won 3-1 

25-15, 25-15, 22-25, 25-15 

Game Recap: Bianca Marchetti – 14 Kills and 9 Aces for 23 Points; Jessica Muir – 14 Kills, 2 Blocks and 2 Aces for 18 Points; Althea Rabano – 16 assists, 6 aces and 5 digs 

 

 

 

Men’s Volleyball 

October 8th – Exhibition Match vs. Niagara – Won 3-1 

25-15, 25-20, 25-19, 24-26 

Game Recap: Evan Kritz – 11 kills and 5 aces for 16 Points; Walker Kalin – 12 Kills and 1 aces for 13 Points; Tyrell Belgrove – 8 kills, 2 aces and 2 blocks  for 12 Points 

 

Women’s Basketball 

October 9th – Exhibition Game vs. Centennial – Won 70-39 

Game Recap: Jamila Beckford – 23 Points and 15 Rebounds; Maddy Weber 11 Points, 7 rebounds and 5 blocks; Savana Fries – 10 Points and 9 Rebounds 

 

Men’s Basketball 

October 9th – Exhibition Game vs. Centennial – Loss 97-84 

Game Recap: Emanuel Liyaw – 18 Points and 14 Rebounds; Kevon Nath – 14 Points; Terell Lloyd – 13 Points, 9 Rebounds and 4 Steals 

 

Cross Country – Mohawk Invitational – October 11th  

Women’s Results 

Team: 5th Place Overall 

Individual: Dianne Deboer – 6th Place; Annie Clarke – 9th Place; Sierra Vasin – 21st Place; Julia Lima – 36th Place; Paige Good – 37th Place 

Men’s Results:  

Team: 6TH Place Overall 

Individual: Nathan Paul – 3rd Place; Bryce Schedewitz – 15th Place; Samoura Kuku – 29th Place; James Peggs – 30th Place; Quinton Luscombe – 35th Place; Adam Whiting 38th Place; Jack Jamieson – 42nd Place 

 

Mixed Team Results 

Team: 6th Place Overall 

Next Up for our Cross Country Team is the OCAA Championships on Saturday, October 25th hosted by Mohawk College at Marydale Park in Mount Hope, ON.
